ADULT FAITH FORMATION

AFF News - Adult faith formation, by which people consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer, and study must be “the central task” as well as the axis by which catechesis is generated through one’s childhood, adolescence, adult life.” (Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us, # 5).

During the year Saint James provides opportunities for adults (such as Scripture Study, retreats, pilgrimages, and the offering of timely resources) that help grow faithful discipleship that is a both living and fruitful.  In addition, we inform our parishioners of other opportunities to explore their Catholic Faith by way of bulletin and pulpit announcements.  For more information or to join our faith formation team, contact the church office or Daria Kaas at kaas@myactv.net

Have you ever thought… “I think I would like to become Catholic, yet I don’t know how.” Or “ I would like to know more about the Catholic Faith, who can I talk to about this?”

If you are asking these or similar questions then attending Saint James Inquiry Gathering may be helpful to you. On the second Sunday of each month Saint James inquiry team is available to talk and answer any questions you may have about the Catholic Faith. Our next gathering is Sunday August 10th in the parish hall after the 11 AM Mass. All are Welcome! Light refreshments are provided. Need more information? Please contact Daria Kaas, RCIA Coordinator at the Church office.
